The second edition of A Sud is the proof that climbing in Southern Italy has been dramatically developed in the recent years – becoming an important asset for outdoor tourism. The crags have nearly doubled, and new routes have been equipped in the existing ones. Restyling and refitting have been carried on, and many local authorithies supported climbing, sensing its potential.
The area reviewed is larger – compared to the first edition – and the Authors have focused also on Molise, including the wonderful crags and walls in Frosolone.
The most important spots are carefully described, focusing especially on the most popular (and frequented) ones, which are usually better upkept and where the potential for new routes is higher.
